A MAN has died after his quad bike collided with a tree near Scarborough.
Patrick Bentley, 35, of Swinton, near Malton, suffered fatal injuries after losing control of his quad bike in woodland at Settrington, off the A64 near Malton.
Police have said he lost control of the bike on the approach to a bend and collided into the tree.
He suffered head and chest injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have confirmed he was riding with two other friends who were all on separate quad bikes.
Officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident and have appealed for help from the public. Anyone with information is urged to contact Malton police’s road traffic policing unit on the new 101 telephone number.
